About Me

I am a homeschool graduate of 2009, who works at home, spinning yarn for knitters and crocheters; I also knit and crochet various articles of clothing for others.  I enjoy giving demonstrations and lessons in the local Midland, Michigan area.  My interest in history, homemaking, creating things for others, and working with soft materials has led me to become a fiber artist.  Rather than raising sheep for wool, I decided to raise angora rabbits and use their soft hair for spinning and knitting.  I do spin yarns of wool, alpaca, and even dog hair; but my speciality is angora.  It is my prayer and hope that I glorify God by spinning and knitting for the edification of others and as I put the skills of homemaking into practice.

I have a great love for children, and spend many happy hours knitting scarves, mittens, and blankets for them.  Another delight in my work is in teaching children; helping them learn how to knit, leading them in Irish Dance classes, and nurturing their hearts for the Lord in Sunday school are blessings and privileges that I cherish.

Proverbs 31 has been the theme of my life as a woman growing in God’s grace, and verses 13 & 25 have been an encouragement to me:

“She seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands.”  “Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come.”
